Officio Prefectus Commissar

The Commissars of the Officio Praefectus are fearsome, iron-clad authority figures who keep the wheels of the Astra Militarum turning. To the masses of humanity - who, thanks to Habblock propaganda or grainy recruitment films, usually recognize them by their black coats, peaked caps and polished boots - these implacable women and men are the embodiment of imperial authority.

Those selected by the Officio Praefectus must demonstrate an unwavering faith in the Empire and an almost fanatical level of totalitarian idealism. His commissars must meet the highest standards and are expected to be feared by ordinary soldiers - although their piercing gaze is often enough to intimidate even many experienced officers.
