Each Collector Booster contains 15 Magic: The Gathering cards and 1 double-sided traditional foil token, with a combination of 5-7 cards of Rare or higher rarity and 3-5 Uncommon cards, 3-6 Common cards and 1 Full Art Middle-Earth Map Country map. Each game contains a total of 8-10 traditional foil cards and may include 1 Surge Foil Box Topper card.

The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth Collector Boosters are the only packs that can contain serialized Ring cards, including the serialized Elf, Dwarven, or Human Sol Ring cards and the 1 of 1 Ring (serialized 001 from 001) card. Only a single card of The 1 of 1 Ring card was printed, featuring a captivating traditional foil treatment and ring inscription text. This card can only be found in an English-language Collector Booster and the probability of a Collector Booster containing the card The One Ring (Serialized 1 of 1) is <.00003%. Collector Boosters may also contain non-foil or double rainbow foil cards serialized with the Sol Ring of Elves, Dwarves, and/or Men. The probability of obtaining a Sol Ring with Foil is as follows: Elven Ring Art <.01%, Dwarven Ring Art <.025%, Human Ring Art <.03%. Non-serialized ring cards are mechanically identical to their serialized versions.
